The importance of Communication Skills in Business

Every business person should be able to convey the proper conception of his will in a language that is clear, tangible and understandable by other people or business partners.

Communication skills is also important to influence business partners about facts and policies, especially concerning the agreement or positive reinforcement of its business partners toward the common good.

Business person also need this communication skills to conduct a negotiation so that their business activity can run smoothly and successfully.

In verbal communication our voice play an important role. Of course, the conversation must be heard and understood by our interlocutor. We can change the volume of our voice to increase pressure on the things that are important. Another factor that is not less important is the level of tone. Another factor that is not less important is the level of tone. We all have a level tone of voice according to nature and our attempts to imitate the sound level of the other person usually will not work. Speaking rate should also be considered in verbal communication. The way we have to talk fast enough to be interesting but slow enough to be understood by our business partners. Final consideration of the voice is good and correct pronunciation. Talking with unclear pronunciation will dull and not easily understood by others.

Recent efforts in communication is the physical activity of the speaker in front of the audience. Body language, especially the activity of the hands and their  expressions , if  show it properly will add meaning and strength in what they  said. Physical activity should be fair and meaningful, but is controlled in such a way that does not detract from what is being said.
